I had every intention of posting yesterday, on the first day of Spring, but the day slipped past a little quicker than I’d planned! We have had such a ridiculously cold winter here (the coldest in 18 years!) that I think everyone is hanging out for blues skies and sunshine.
We’re not that cold in Melbourne (Australia) that we get snow and nothing like some of the freezing temperatures of some of our Northern hemisphere friends, but we had a record number of days under of low temperatures and that’s enough to send us all into a spin!!
And all everyone could do was talk about the weather!!
So now I’m going to talk about what this new season brings…delicious new in season fruit and vegetables.
So when shopping next, think  what you can  buy that is in season and think local. Over the coming weeks, to celebrate Spring I’ll bring you some delicious Spring inspired recipes. Let me state here and now that I love to eat fabulous nutritious food but I love it even more when someone cooks for me. So the recipes shall be created by others fab foodies and shared by me!!
